1994: A Cookie is Born...
- The concept for Baker's Breakfast Cookies is born; an all-natural, healthy and delicious breakfast or snack for people on the go.
- Erin Baker rents the local Washington State 4-H kitchen at the Island County Fairgrounds to bake.
- The first mixer is purchased, a Kitchen Aid. Mixing 24 cookies at a time was a big step!
- Baker's secures their first accounts - Star Store & Mercantile, Mukilteo Coffee and Whidbey Island Coffee.
1996: Moving and Grooving...
- In need of more production space and the opportunity to expand the business, Bellingham seemed like just the place to be, so Baker's Breakfast Cookies moves.
- Erin soon acquires enough accounts to quit her second job and focus solely on Baker's Breakfast Cookies.
- A kitchen is rented from Avenue Bread in Bellingham, which gives Baker's Cookies more room and allows us to expand our client base.
1997: Doing What it Takes...
- A 1939 60-quart Hobart mixer is the newest addition.
- The first label for the Baker's Breakfast Cookie is created by Erin.
- After years of renting other peoples' kitchens, Erin finds an affordable space and goes to work converting it into a commercial bakery.
- Erin Baker hires her first employee!
2000: Hard Work Pays Off...
- The third flavor of Breakfast Cookie is introduced - Peanut Butter, which complements Fruit & Nut and Chocolate Chunk Raisin perfectly. It's a big hit!
- We begin individually packaging the Baker's Breakfast Cookies.
- Baker's Breakfast Cookies moves to a larger building and an additional 10 people are hired. We work hard to get the kitchen installed and up and running. We have an office, break room and 4,000 square feet for production.
2001: New and Needed Inspiration...
- Our territory expands and we begin distributing to retailers all over the country.
- Another move to a larger building; this time we have 16,000 square feet of production space!
- We attend all major food trade shows to introduce Baker's Breakfast Cookies to the nation.
- Erin's husband Bryan Geschwill joins the team and adds many missing elements to Baker's Breakfast Cookies.
- We become an official sponsor of the USA Triathlon Team for 2002 and we visit hundreds of races and events to sample Baker's Breakfast Cookies.
2003: Onwards and Upwards...
- New machinery allows us to automate our production process.
- We receive positive press about our products and our customers' weight loss success using Baker's Breakfast Cookies to achieve their goals.
- Our popularity amongst athletes is on the rise. This is our second year of USAT sponsorship.
- We travel to many trade shows and events to sample our products and educate consumers about Baker's Breakfast Cookies.
- We make the big step from a sticker to printed packaging. This new packaging increases shelf life and allows Baker's Breakfast Cookies to be more easily distributed all over the country.
2004: A New Direction...
- Athletes can't get enough of our healthy, nutritious cookies!
- Baker's Healthy Start Foundation hosts the last Olympic qualifying triathlon before the Summer Olympics in Athens. The winners are decided and announced on June 13th, 2004, right here in Bellingham, Washington.
- We have some exciting changes this year, including new and improved packaging and website.
2006: New Products, New Look...
- Two new products are introduced, Organic Breakfast Cookie Minis and our Homestyle Granola. These are an instant hit, providing great-tasting nutrition in a fun new way.
- To better accommodate our new product family, we change our name from Baker's Breakfast Cookies to Erin Baker's Wholesome Baked Goods and give our company and packaging a fresh new look.
- Our website is redesigned to better facilitate online shopping, and to give our customers and visitors the most pleasant shopping experience possible.
- Our kitchen becomes Organic Certified!
2007: The Word is Spreading...
- Fuel the Ride! Erin Baker's Healthy Start Foundation begins its partnership with the Mt. Baker Ski Area to provide a free, healthy breakfast for all children participating in winter ski programs. As part of the program, full financial sponsorships are also given to children who otherwise would never have the opportunity to learn how to ski or snowboard.
- Organic Brownie Bites make their debut proving to be an excellent addition to our already incredible line of products.
- We appear on the Food Network's popular show "Unwrapped," which showcases our products and the Baker's story.
Home Shopping Network features our products several times and the response is overwhelming!
2008: From Kona to Beijing...
- Ultra Protein Power Crunch Granola is launched and becomes the First Official Granola of Ironman.
- Rachel Ray gives our Organic Brownie Bites rave reviews.
- We support Sheila Taormina in her quest for Gold in Modern Pentathlon at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing.
- An automated packaging machine streamlines our granola production line.
- Our Healthy Start Foundation continues to Fuel the Winter Ride at Mt. Baker.
2009: Big Changes...
- We create an all-new Erin Baker's Triathlon Team, focusing on our relationship with Ironman and 24 Age Group athletes from across the nation.
- Bryan Geschwill begins his "Quest for Kona" as he embarks on his first Ironman journey as Erin Baker's Triathlon Team Captain.
- Our website gets a new look and layout, and the shopping experience is streamlined.
- We update our Breakfast Cookie, Minis, and Granola packaging.
