Meet Sweepstakes Winner Nick Nicholson! |
|
Shopping on the Erin Baker's website, I saw the contest for a Kestrel bike and signed up. A few weeks later, I received an email saying I won the Grand Prize…a new Kestrel bike!
I tasted my first Breakfast Cookie while training for my first Olympic distance triathlon with the Leukemia and Lymphoma's Team in Training. What an experience! After completing our event, The Memphis in May Triathlon, I was hooked on multi-sport! The next season I completed my first Half Iron distance in Ohio at the Buckeye Challenge Triathlon. Team in Training then offered the Gulf Coast Half Iron which became a stepping stone to the Florida Ironman. Erin Baker's cookies were on board for all of the races!
These events were amazing experiences. I made lots of wonderful friends, challenged myself physically and mentally, and enjoyed and still enjoy the camaraderie of the tri. community. I truly enjoyed the training leading up to these races. Sharing the highs and lows, the new distance PR's, getting up way too early to ride all day in the hot sun…No matter how cranky we were when we started in the mornings, we were always laughing by the end of the day.
Winning this bike was perfect timing. I have been on the same bike through all my races. After a break in the freezing weather, I took the Kestrel out for a ride, so quiet and smooth. No creaks, rattles or squeaks like my old bike! I am truly looking forward to racing on this bike this summer!
Thanks Erin Baker's Cookies!
Nick

The Janus Charity Challenge helps Ironman athletes use their race experience to raise money for charity. Unlike most other race fundraising programs, there is no pre-determined beneficiary. Instead, participants can choose their favorite nonprofit organization as their beneficiary.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America provide before and after school care, team sports and educational assistance for low-income and single-parent families. They promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
